Micro Capsule GP Method is environmentally
friendly and people-friendly.
This construction method is an innovative low-pressure injection technology for repairing concrete cracks, utilizing a geopolymer-based inorganic injection material that our company was the first in Japan to develop.
This injection material demonstrates high adaptability even in harsh environments such as rivers, ports, water treatment facilities, tunnels, and bridges, contributing to a reduction in long-term maintenance costs. This construction method will support the infrastructure of future society.
Features of the Micro Capsule GP Method
Reduces environmental impact by using injection materials made from industrial by-products.
The injection device is reusable.
Contains no volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Provides sufficient working time even in summer, while rapid hardening allows same-day removal.
Viscosity variation is small from low to high temperatures, enabling installation with a single type.
Provides high adhesion even on damp substrates and does not require water permeation on dry substrates.
Unlike epoxy systems, it does not generate significant heat and is non-flammable.
Small, pre-portioned packages eliminate the need for weighing and simplify on-site management.
High flowability enables filling of fine cracks.
Maintains flowability even at -5°C, enabling use in cold regions and during severe winter periods.
Crack injection procedure
When installing injection devices over cracks, to ensure good adhesion, use a wire brush and sander, etc., to abrade approximately 50 mm along the crack line.
As a rule, existing finishing materials should be removed; however, if the existing finish is sound, surface preparation and installation of the injection devices may be performed without removing the finish.
Inject the injection material (GP-396).
When the amount of injection material remaining in the cap-con decreases, refill the injection material and repeat the injection process.
After confirming that the injection material has solidified, remove the injection equipment and its base.
